Counter Strike Server problem

Ok, when I set up conter strike, it goes fine, but then I see in the dedicated server box that my IP is like 192.168.1.1xx:27015. But when I give them that IP they say it does not work.



So I know that IP is only my local Ip address. And I know that CS default port that it uses is 27015. And thats the one I am using. So I was wondering what do I have to do to see my IP address that my friends can use.

give them the address that gives you

so all I have to do is give them my ip, no port number(27015) is required?

It may or may not need the port behind it...I don't play CS so I don't know...

you will need to forward the port still since your behind the router

ok, I just filled both in kinda like this :

27015 ~ 27015

so what do I do now?

give them your ip address. NOT your 192.168.*.* use the site Telexen posted to get the number to give them

If it does need the port use

yourip:27015

If you have a router or firewall you may have to forward the port to your machine (192.168.*.*)

Try typing:

/status

in the HLDS console. That should give you another readout of the IP address.
