ghost copy wont boot

I made a clone using norton ghost 2003 to a new HD .When I connect this as the primary HD and set to master the computer will not boot . I checked both HD's with partition magic and they are exact copies , active partitions . Anyone know why ?

I found the problem . I set the drive to cs instead of master and it booted up fine . Anyone know why it wouldnt work set to master

Perhaps you left them both jumpered as master or you didn't physically swap them on the cable. Master goes on the end connector, slave in the middle.

I only had 1 drive connected which was the new one set to master on the cable end marked master . When iI checked the old drive I noticed it was set to cs so I set the new one to cs and it booted up
