Profiles in Windows XP

I've got 8 high-tech classroom machines that I'm getting ready to deploy. I've loaded all the software required for the users.

To use the PC each user must login to the domain with their username and password which would then map out their shared network drives.

What I would like to do is have them use the same desktop and my documents folder. I also want to lock down the machine so that they can't install any software on the machines.

Basically when a user logs on I don't want it to create a new profile for each user. I would also like to have a script run either daily or weekly to delete all the files in the my documents folder and on the desktop (except for the shortcuts that I place there).

Any ideas on this or where to locate references for doing this sort of thing? I would also like to do the same thing for our student lab here, except that these machines would log in automatically with a generic username.

im no good with scripts but if you want to lock down users just use the same login name on all machines and only give that name user rights therefore not letting them install anything.

edit. dont know if using the same user name on each machine is a good idea, but if each machine had a specific user name and password and you kept it that way, you dont have to worry about it creating new profiles since it will be the only user on the machine (besides admin of course)
