Really bad score (Radeon 9200 - 3544)

I don't know whats wrong. I just got this card yesterday. It's a Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis 128DDR MB. My specs are as followed:

Radeon 9200 128DDR Card
1333 mhz Athlon Processor
256 2100 DDR Ram
40GB Maxtor HD
PC CHIPS M817LMR
ALi Chipset (not sure of model #)

Hot HardWare did a review of my exact card here (i dont have video in though):

http://www.hothardware.com/hh_files/...re_r9200.shtml

They score near 7k! I don't like the fact that I'm only getting FIFTY PERCENT of what my video card can do! Can anybody help me? I've tried the drivers that came with my card and ATI's Drivers. This is weird i thought i might show (My Video Chipset says "Generic VGA")

Please Help!!!!!!

Well, the main difference between your setup and theirs is the processor and RAM.

You - 1.33 Tbird
Them - XP2600+

You - PC2100 single channel DDR
Them - PC2700 dual channel DDR

Your CPU and RAM is what's limiting your scores.

I agree.... They are running an XP2600+ 333MHz Bus, DDR333 Dual Channel with an NForce2 Motherboard.

Big difference from your setup. Your score is about right.

I thought it might be a little different becuase of my system but not too much. I guess I was wrong. Thank you guys so much, It got me worried I got a lemon or hardware problem. I am going to be upgrading soon and my scores should go up. I have PC 2100 right now (256 mb). Can I run 2100/2700/3200 DDR Ram at the same time? Or would I have to have all of the same ram? If I would have to have all of the same, is dishing my 2100 and upgrading to 2700+ worth it?

Depends what your motherboard allows w hether or not you can upgrade from 2100 to 2700. Either way, having the same ram is better since the faster ram will slow down to the slowest ram's speed anyway.

no way, i have a 1.2 ghz celeron and 128 mb of sdram and a mx 440 and i score around 4000, alot of 8500 score near 8k, r u sure sideband and fastrites r enabled? any refresh rate progs or r u forcing aa anywhere? make sure its in its highest agp setting that ur mb supports, also hows ur gaming performance, maybe 3dmarks a bit screwy aye?

EDIT am pretty sure u can run diff speeds of ram if ur mb supports them but u wont get dual channel ddr
