new router

i just got my router and it disconencts me every minute, i see the option where i can change it but it only has it in minutes and its set to 0, how do i have it never disconnect? and the speeds also has dropped about to 645k from 742k

what router? Brand? What type of connection do you have? What are you using to see the speed drop?

Trendnet router 4 port DSL/CABLE

Connection is DSL Speed 768/128 and with regular modem i get 742/136

and i use Verizon Online Speed Test/DSLReports.com
and now with the router it won't connect me to the internet but when i hook up the modem into the pc it works

Sounds like a router issue have you contacted Trendnet technical support and asked them what they have to suggest? That is where I would start because I have no experience with Trendnet and I know your dsl provider will not support the router.

i called and solved most my my problems, and i asked can i be disconnected and he said yes and he said routers don't do always on just standby to see if ur doing anything on the internet, and my speed dropped from 742 to 719 and 136-120k for up. and i updated the firmware. any suggestion

The next thing I would say is that your ISP is disconnecting you even though they will not admit it. You are probably provisioned as BBG which is broad band gateway and the ISp has over sold the service in your area which means that whenever someone in your area connects to the internet they bump you off. Guess what then you have to reset the modem router then computers to get back online. Not much you can do besides complain to the ISP and the better business bureau but they probably wont care.

ya my isp said to disconnect me after 30 mins, never did. lol,
