I'm taking a few classes at Syracuse University for the next five weeks and brought up my computer. They told us not to bring any computers because we won't be able to get on the network from the dorm, but I can't live without one so I brought it anyway. So, the first day I got here, I called CMS (Computer and Media Services) and told them I needed an account for the internet. They set me up right away and I could get online from any computer cluster. I asked them about getting my computer on the network and they said no problem. So, I now have a personal T1 line which is normally shared by hundreds of people in the dorm.

Looks like redundnant T1's or something else, maybe even a T3.

Your somewhere in this cloud, but I cant find any dorms in that diagram. It shows a T3 pipe to the internet, but theres still a bunch of old CAT3 wiring near the central router.
