Do you have a small switch or hub in your dorm? I have a long piece of cat5, maybe we can share?

Sweet speeds. i am happy with my cable modem at home, upgraded not too long ago from dial-up.

blubomber- They are actually running a protocol that prevents you from accessing the network through a switch. I guess they don't want someone running a herd of cows in the dorm. I'm quite content with my cable modem at home to, but these upload speeds are nice.
