good video cards

I am currently searching for the differences in the 9600 PRO and the 9700 PRO. I have come across a 256MB 9600 PRO and am truly curious of this creatures existence. I've never heard of such a card and ATI.com has nothing about it either. In the same respect ATI.com doesn't have much about the 9700PRO either, it's all about the 9800PRO and the 9600 series. Does anyone have any info on this 9600 PRO 256MB card. It list for $210 at http://www.komusa.com/gigacube.html.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting one. Here's the deal. You can OC it to higher speeds than the 9700, but it still wont be as good. It only has 4 pipelines instead of 8. The 9700's are only 30-50 bucks more, and you will get much better quality.

yes i agree with tony . don't be fooled by the 256 memory . more memory doesn't always mean better card . i would get the 9700 pro . you will get a better picture . don't count on overclocking when you buy a video card . there are alot of things that come into play when you overclock . some cards will do better than others . there is no guaranty that it will be able to overclock to a 9700pro speed . odd's are it will but ya never know .
