Played Americas Army?

I just gor broadband and a force feedback joystick. I have been looking for games/demos that utilize either one to the max. CS is crap because of the cheaters. CS 1.6 is a tad more tollerable since only about 25% of the ppl cheat.

Anyway, I just remember Americas Army, and I remember that it is free. (if I remembered right). First off, where can I get. (to lazy to search right now).

More importanly, IS IT GOOD? I heard its a rather big download. If it isn't fun, I obviously don't want to play it. What is the game like? Are there reviews? (Another google search could hvae answered that wuestion, but the mouse is all the way other there!)

It is pretty fun. If you are looking for a fun free game check out Return to Castle Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.

It is kinda like Day of Defeat if you ever played that, but cool

I love the game a total fanatic. ou can go to www.Americasarmy.com and download it form some sites like Nvidia. But all the sites link form there. I love the game. It is ultra realistic. Very few cheaters. ITs about a 350 something mb download with a 18mb patch. Any more questions pm me or post.

I play AA every chance I get.

You should be able to download the entire 1.7 release but AA 1.8 will be out soon (this month I expect).

Im looking forward to BF1942 if u can cheat in the game and if theres lag ill certainly be pissed.

Ummm BF1942 came out a long time ago. Or do you mean your waiting to purchase it? I was thinking about purchasing it. I was seeing if anywhere they offered it as a "pack". The original game + road to rome. Also I heard that there is another expansion coming out. I don't want to be FORCED to buy another game if all the servers play the new exp.

I downloaded AA last night. 400MB in less than 2 hours! Anyway. The training was awsome. I was amazed that a free game had Soldier of Fortune-quality graphics. Then I hooked up online to a server (30 ping!! ) Well, then the game began to suck. I played the first infantry town thing. Ppl were playing in there that seemed like they had been playing for years. You DO die extremely quickly. I die before I see what/who/where hit me.

Also, there is NO team effort. Its just the same as in CS when I yell "Stick together!" and every runs like scared ants. Maybe team-oriented map later on, or I meet smarter ppl. I played that map for about an hour before we won one match. We won 4 times total. When I quit, it says I didn't pass it. Weird.

Cool game, maybe I just have to get used to it.
