I have a 2.8GHz with 800MHz fsb running on Windows 2000 Professional. I cannot run Red Alert 2 because of Hyper-Therading issues. Is it safe to disable hyper-threading in order to see if RA2 will play? Thanks.
Thats only with applications requesting HUGE (not adjective, noun) page spaces in XP SP1. Not normally something seen on the desktop.
MS released a patch for it anyway, but SocceRich20 isn't using XP. 2k Pro.
Originally posted by blackie of course its safe to disable HT. i dont think they would allow such an option in the BIOS if it was dangerous. go ahead and disable.
