If they're going to send you back the same system, what difference does it make?

It's kind of illegal, so I don't think it's a good idea in the first place.

I think you have the wrong forum Wanabtek. That would be a completely wrong thing to do if the laptop is working perfectly now. I'm guessing you just want them to replace it with a newer one? It would = stealing. If I'm misunderstanding this please tell me.

I'm not sure what you are getting at but why would you want to do that to a working laptop?

If you are having problems with it call the manufacturer. You idea confuses me.

Are you doing this just to see if they will warranty it?

Edit: Redwolf and Bob beat me to it

There's 1 sure way to destroy the thing completely.

Here are the materials you will need:
1 pure iron bar (hollow or solid doesn't matter)
1 or more car batteries
very very very long copper wire
an on/off switch

Ok now for the process of building.
1. Wrap the very long wire around the iron pole as tightly and as even as you can.
2. Put the switch in the OFF position.
3. Connect 1 end of the copper wire to the switch and connect the other end to the positive terminal on the battery.
3. Connect the negative terminal of the battery to the switch.

Now to use the newly created EMP, just flick the switch on and off a bunch of times while the computer is running and in fairly close proximity. Make sure you do not leave the circuit on for too long (more than 1 second) because the high current from the battery will melt the wires.

Make sure you do this in a field someplace and nowhere near anything electronic other than the computer.
