What does OEM mean and how does it differ from retail boxed product?
OEM products may not include accessory components including CD's, cables, manuals, etc. often found in retail boxes.
Its normally the exact same product as a retail boxed component but it has a plain cardboard box and doesn't have much else. Sometimes they are worse then the retail like the ATI Radeon 8500DV's OEM is actually clocked SLOWER then the retail! So watch out for that stuff. With your case you will have no issues.

When you buy items online many times you'll have an option of OEM or Retail.

OEM is barebones you ONLY get the item, none of the 'perks'

ie. If you buy an OEM CDROM you'll get JUST the cdrom. No drivers cd (not needed anyways) and no IDE cable that routinely comes with a cdrom.

98% of the time yes they'll work with your machine, assuming its not a 486
