Dratted IE6!

Recently, we had to reinstall the operating system (Don't ask! lol), and now IE seems to just drop to the desktop on a whim. I have tried to see if a pattern would emerge, but none so far have come up. No one site, and no one situation seems to be the culprit, so the next step appears to be uninstalling, and reinstalling IE.

We are using WinXP.

If you have any suggestions, they are most welcome.

does everything minimize at the same time or is it JUST IE?

What do you mean 'drop to the desktop' ? Does it crash, or does it minimize?

If it minimizes see if you press 'd' or 'm' to see if it minimizes.. it maybe a stuck key (windows key in this case)...

If its crashing, thats a different story altogether.
Have you tried installing IE6 SP1?

It gives a message saying that for some reason, IE must shut down, and do I want to sent Microsoft a report, then it shuts down all internet pages currently running.
