add/remove programs W2K

In Windows 2000, when I try to go to "add/remove programs" in the control panel, it pops up with a window that says:
"wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment"
"res://sp3res.dll/default.hta
Line 84"

what the heck is this?? Why does it pop up whenever I go to add/remove programs?
It's never done this before until today for no reason whatsoever. I just happened to go to add/remove & it popped up.

Did you try and reboot your computer and run scandisk? If not, I would try to just reinstall Win 2k over your existing version and see if that fixes it.

Oh, wait a sec, did you get SP4? it could be a bug in that too.

na... i'm running Service pack 3 still... Hence the "SP3res.dll" file in the error message...

I've tried using JVPower tools to clean out the registry, tried scandisk, tried rebooting... Still there.
