Decisions, decisions

Well, I was planning on either getting a radeon 9500 or 9600. But the way the money is coming in, I might be getting a 9700. Then I saw THIS . I've always had this thing for 256mb cards, and word on the street is it will really help with Doom3 and HL2. But is it worth it? The 9600 only has 4 pipelines, the 9700 has 8. So I'm not sure the 9600 will be able to use the memory as effectivly as possible. Also, the 9600 costs 210 whereas you can get a 9700 for 250. Also, the 9600 is capable of being OC'd in excess of 100mhz. Please dont mention other cards in this thread(with the exception of the 9500)I'm trying to narrow the options, not enlarge them.

9600 is not in the same league as a 9700. Take the 9700.
