camera opinion

Hey. I was wondering if you guys had some opinions you'd like to share on digital cameras. I just got a request from the boss about prices and models, and ofcourse I want to assert my nerd prowess over tech stuff in the office. He wants something that is totally above my price range so I never looked into it. He's looking for a 4.0 MP, 4x zoom etc. He wants something "less bulky if possible". He gave me the pwoershot G3 as an example and said "look on the net." I also have a lens for it that he would be interested in purchasing another one. I don't know anything at all about external lenses, the name on it is Crystal Vision and it says 2x. I know you guys have some product recomends so if you would like to share I'd be more than happy to listen (and appreciative).

Thanks guys,

Jon

The Sony DSC S85 is pretty similar to the Canon Power shot. I know somebody that has the S85 and he loves it. I have used it and it is quite simple to use. Fairly small and light weight. Definatly worth looking into.

have to say the digital camera experience so far has been fun, have dealt with quite a few in my job as tech but this is first time dipping in waters personally. Got a Vivitar 3MP first for 170 and pis were not bad but had no real zoom (2x digital) was all and in ended up going faulty after 2 weeks, took it back to wally world and got refund. Checked out the Kodak cx4320 and looked nice, bought it took it home, put batteries in and then put it in box (the batter compartment cover is held closed by 2 palstic hooks which bent and cracked with zero force). Back to wally world we go next day, returned Kodak and after humming and hawing went for HP photosmart 620. Seems a nice camera and happy so far. overall nice camera 3x optical and 4 times digital, pics look crisp on lcd and will check qulity on PC in day or so (just moved so computers are sitting in a pile in a corner).
