Samsung 753DF monitor problem

I just got this today and I'm having trouble with it. I find that the settings are constantly changing. For example, I set up the monitor then went to go watch a movie, when I got back there was a half inch border along both sides and it was stretched too far on the top and bottom. Pincushion changes were later present. Sometimes when I turn off the monitor and turn it back it, it would change as well.



Should I return and exchange this or just get a refund?

I've searched online and no one seems to be having the same problems.

I have the same moniter, everytime i change the settings to make the buttons and everything smaller the screen gets smaller and i have to re adjust it. Ive had this moniter for a while. I think ill save some money and get an LCD moniter and sell this one.


My comp rite now has a sucky video card does it work well with games ?

I just called the three nearest ODs near me and none of them have it in stock. If they dont get an more this week, i'm gonna just return it.

that monitor was just on sale i think it was a clearance ..

shot in the dark- did you install the latest drivers for the monitor? I just got one of these monitors, skipped the install cd that came with it (might throw that in later and see if there is anything on it i would like to use), and d/l'd and installed the drivers for it from windows update (i am using xppro). Haven't had any re-sizing problems yet but if I do I might try going to samsungusa.com in order to try the latest drivers that they have available for this monitor.

...wish i could help you more but i am not familiar enough with all the settings on this thing to tell which ones need to be turned on or off...

Yeah I just got the monitor on sale. $30 after MIR. I used the drivers on the cd.... I'll check samsung to see if they have newer drivers avaliable.

If it doenst work out for me, looks like I'm going to have to return it. All of the ODs around me dont have any in stock.

Just tried installing drivers. Didnt help. Looks like I'm going to return this later this week

try uninstalling all the drivers for it switch to svga , reboot let it redetect it and reinstall drivers . maybe it will work .
