If you look at the up'n'coming games from Blizzard atm, you can see there workload is quite full on, The 3rd Diablo game is rumored to be in design process though, Its going to be a matter of time before we find out for sure.
In the end of the 2nd exp, the world stone is destroyed, but was it TOO LATE, that's the dialogue at the end of the game from Tyrael after shattering the stone, so there is room left for another exciting package... Well we can only hope..
