Kids will PC2700 DDR work instead of PC2100

I am planning to buy Asus A7N266-VM mobo. The specification says it can take PC2100 DDR. I am wondering if PC2700 DDR can work instead?

It will work, but it will only run at PC2100 speeds (266mhz)

It's working for me like that. I've got a 512meg stick of pc2700 running in a box that only supports pc2100 and it's been nothing but stable for about a week.
