How do i reconfigure this?
You know when you first start up KDE and it makes you save your preferences at first, and you set what you want for media, or decoration to make the gui better, how do i turn that down?
I have looked almost everywhere i can and can't find where i can stop the gui from making noises when i click on buttons or move them, and to stop my icons to pop up when i hover over them on the taskbar..

I just close that thing when it pops up and do everything manually. To stop those noises you might check out K>Configuration>KDE>LookNFeel>System Notification.
I thought at first that the icon thing may be part of the MandrakeGalaxy orRedhat's Bluecurve themes but there is an option if you r-click the Kthing>Panel Menu>Configure Panel>Appearance>Enable Icon Zooming.Maybe that's it?

KDE control center->Sounds and multimedia->system noticications.
That will let you set or reset sounds.
The sound server section will let you configure or disable arts.
The appearence and themes section will let you tweak your eyecandy.

Thanks again nukes, but both of them are turned off, and the sounds i hear are not coming in system notifications.
These effects are more like (Be Boop Doo) And (De Doop Doo) (Le Lal La) when i close an ap, kinda to spruse the GUi up some.

Well, surprisingly enough, thats where the setting for it is. If you're using KDE 3.1, there is a pull-down box at the top of the system notification section, select KDE Window Manager for the events you want.
Also, if arts was disabled, you shouldn't get any of these sounds anyway. check what you are actually doing and that you know what you're doing.
