The "you can afford 35 bucks a week" computers.

Yeah, for 52 friggin weeks!
umm that equals 1820 bucks!
for this:

Intel 2.0 GHz Processor
15" Color Monitor
128 MB SDRAM Memory
30 GB Hard Drive
40X CD-ROM DRIVE
3.5" Floppy Drive
Intel 3D AGP Video Card
2 Stereo Speakers
56.6K Modem
104 Key Keyboard & Mouse
Microsoft Windows XP
Internet Ready
Word Processing Software
FREE E-Mail Account
1 Year Parts & Labor Warranty
FREE Technical Support

That's kinda steep for that setup if ya ask me..
But, the 35 dollars a week sounds cheap until you do the math.

yee- ha! tote the note computer sales!

I saw this company's ad on DTV tonight and thought I'd do a little looking to see what the place was all about.

What made my BS detector go off was the line in the commercial
"If you can afford 35 dollars a week for 12 months, you can have a brand new name brand computer"

Hell I can't afford 35 bucks a week! That's 140 a month! I got enough bills thank you

Thing is they advertise in that manner for a reason ....
It works

a little steep? heck, it'd still be steep if it were the full blown P4, i'm guessing it'll be a celeron. and only SDRAM... GAHHH!!!!! I have better things to waste money on. isn't that like the PeoplePC thing too? I don't remember what that costs, but i'm sure it's an equal waste of cash.

And for another measly $312.00 you can upgrade to a 17" monitor.

Duuuuude! You're gettin' a Dell! $499.00 at Dell's website/w 17" monitor and a burner.

How'bout this testimonial

"I always wanted a brand new computer but didn't have the money to buy one. Then I found BlueHippo. They worked with my pay schedule and created a payment plan perfect for me. Now I have that computer I've been wanting. Thank you BlueHippo."
Didn't have the money to buy a computer, but has an extra $35.00a week to pay for one? Is it just me, or does that not make ant sense?

It's for people that have no credit, that is why it is so expensive, i've seen this before too, it is pretty expensive, but it's for poor people that have bad credit.

Yeah, there are dells and better IMO to get, but do they know that? (The consumer)

I can lease a 2003 Honda Civic for that after making a small down payment.

OTOH, if I had $35/week to spare, I'd save up for 4 months and get a Dell.
