Slackware vs. USB
I've decided that I want to learn as much about linux as I can in 2 weeks. So I'm going to temporarily jeteson my Windows Drive (not my stuff drive tho) and learn linux the hard way, Slackware (which is how I learned 1/2 of what I know about Linux in the first place). I dled Slackware 9.0. I put the CD in. I had my first problem.
Specs:
MSI KT4V mobo (w/ KT400 chipset)
XP 1700+ (not OCed right now)
16 x DVD drive (as master/secondary drive)
20/10/40 TDK CD Burner (as slave/secondary)
Geforce 4 MX 420 card
SB Live! X-Gamer (not 5.1)
Here's the problem.
I load Slackware using the default option (bare.i). It loads up until it gets to loading the USB stuff. Then it gives a long error, that I am unable to give you since it happens during boot up. It says it's an EIP error, and happens after disconnecting a USB device. I'll go back and write some numbers down. I only have one USB device in though, my Logitech Ifeel Mouse.
The ISO I dled does check out (MD5 Sum = okay).
