musicmatch and WMP

I have musicmatch and WMP. I like media player for just listening and i like Music match for ripping or listening to online radio. when i open my music folder and double click to play a song it always opens in musicmatch. I dont want it to do this. How can I make it open in WMP? I have Musicmatch 8.0 and WMP 9

You're probably going to have to change your file associations. Right now your MP3s (if those are the kind of files your opening) are associated with MusicMatch. However, the opposite will happen when changing them to WMP.

Depending on which version of Windows you're running you might be able to right click and choose "open with."

Open WMP, go to tools>options>file types, and check mp3 to be played by defaualt with Media player.

If that doesn't work, you'll have to manually change the fila association. Let us know what version of Windows you are running if you need to do this.

Thanks darrelld. It worked fine. I am using win 98 but I am getting XP soon, hopefully today. I like using musicmatch for radio and ripping. but other than that it should only speak when spoken to.
