Kids Popup Removal Question

Hello everyone,

I am sure this has been covered like a million times...

What is the proccess for removing the system message popups. A friend of mine called me who has a growing problem with them.

He has been using the free Killad and has not had a problem untill recently even with full protection on he still gets the system messages.

Any help is welcome

It sounds like the windows messanger (not to be confused with MSN messanger). Get a program called XP Anti-Spy at http://www.xp-antispy.de/ (click the british flag for english language). USe it to remove the Windows Messanger.

Depending on what operating system you have, find your Services Module and disable Messenger(not to be confused with MSN Messenger) from there.

With Win XP, click on Start, find and click Control Panel, click on Performance and Maintenance, click on Administrative Tools, click on Services.

Same is similiar with Win 2000, just go to control panel and follow the rest.

Open up Services, scroll down and find Messenger and right click on it scroll to stop. Click on stop and you shouldn't have anymore messenger type spam or pop ups occur.

Had to edit my above reply. Messenger service is for net send and not to be confused with MSN Messenger.

Although there is spam on MSN messenger
example: http://home.wangjianshuo.com/archive...enger_spam.htm

They are system notification message Popups. The other popup windows are stopped by the KillAD.

Try doing what I just suggested and see if that stops it. If that doesn't stop it, is there anyway that you could post a screen shot of these popups. What do these system notification pop ups say on them?
