Kids GeForce2 MX 400 AGP not being recognized

Have new box with Intel P4, purchased at a computer show. Don't know the motherboard manufacturer, but model number on the motherboard doc's is M925. The company that sold it, stated I could disable the graphics and install my GeForce AGP card. The bios is AMI and between it and the motherboard doc's there is no place to disable the on-board video.

Installed Win98 and installed the NVIDIA drivers, the system will not recognize the card.

Being Saturday I cannot call the company for support.

Any one had similar experience and know what to do?

Your MOBO M925 is an Amptron ( ECS) P4-925LU, with VIA chipset and you have no jumper or anything in AMI BIOS to disable to install viedo card, I have the same board and have GeForce AGP 5200 128 card I have tried to install for 2 months, looked, prayed asked and cursed to no avail. Amptron just said card was not compatiable with mobo. I am in the process of getting another mobo to install AND for sure it will never be another ECS product in my household. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are anyone else can get the problem solved I would greatly appreciate it also. CATSRdawg

Well Uninstall the driver and reboot your computer. Most computer will automatically disable the onboard Vga and some wont what will happen is that your comp will automatically assign generic vga drivers for your Vga card. Have you tried look in the manual as to see where you can disable your onboard? I have an ECS board which Im proud of dont have any problems yet But as we all know ECS makes Budget boards for people who dont have money growing on trees heheheheheh Like me I wish I did man that would make alot of people happy
