At Home Remote Terminals

is there a way u can request remote terminals in the area or they just come as they come?

remote terminals, they are little things that will allow ppl that can't get 1.5mbits speeds to get it, it makes it like ur closer to the CO.

You mean shell accounts on machines so you can leach their bandwidth?
What?? If you do mean that, it wouldn't help as you would still need to download it to your local machine unless you're using vnc or something, and that is very insecure.

no im talking about some small green things outside. it is installed in neighborhoods. and they allow ppl to get higher speeds by making it seem like a closer CO nearer u

Sounds like you need to contact the local DSL provider. I don't think you can just go out and buy or order one. They would have to be installed by the DSL provider. With them it'll be a matter of return on investment. If it's just you looking to hook up, I doubt they'll do it.
