All-in-Wonder ATI Radeon 9700 Pro

Does anybody know how I would optimize the performance of my video card (Radeon 9700 Pro) so that it would make my counter strike run smoothly. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated thanks.

Let me get this straight: Your using a 9700 Pro and are having framerate problems in counter-strike. Um.. OK... I get around 60fps at 1024x768 with a 466 celery and a crappy PCI geforce2 MX 400, so I'm not sure why you would be having problems.

1. Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.
2. Update your graphics drivers.
3. Open up CS, click "Configuration", the "Video", then "Video Modes", and make sure it's set to OpenGL, not software or Direct3D.
4. With a 9700 Pro, 1280x1024 should run really well on your PC, try that resolution first, if you don't like it start changing it.
5. Make sure AA and Anisotropic Filtering are off first (look in the control panel.)
6. Update your chipset drivers!

wait did you mean uncheck AA and Anisotropic Filtering in the ATI control panel?? Okay well my problem exactly is sometimes my screen would freeze for like .5 seconds when im playing counter strike and i wasnt sure whether that was because of my internet connection (cable) or whether it was because of my video card. So I did everything u said and it still sometimes does that.
