asus a7v133 help needed

my son has had this board for over 2 years. he upgraded to a new board so i took the asus board.

i am trying to use a duron 1.2/gforce2mx400/2 40gb hdd(i want to use raid 0/512mb corsair pc133.

i have installed just the cpu/video/memory and the video will not display anything on my monitor.

the system runs. there is a green light on the mobo(that is lit up)/fans spin but no video.

i have tried 2 other known working agp video and 1 pci video card and nothing.

the only changes that i made to the mobo was the jumper for the raid.

what else should i try?

Are there any beeps? If you don't hear any beeps then it usually means CPU/RAM/Power Supply. Try reseating the CPU and RAM or switching them with known working parts. There's a possibility that you might have static shocked a component when you were moving them to the new board?

no i dont have any beeps.

How about moving that jumper back? Try without using raid.

i tried moving the jumper back still no go.

i reseated the cpu.

tried a different psu

only thing left is cpu/ram.

i will try some other ram as soon as my son gets home.

if it still doesn't work from process of elimination i will just order another cpu.

Was that the cpu that came with the mobo? If not, maybe the fsb need to be set to 100. Voltage set to 1.5v and multiplier is locked on the cpu.

OR clear the cmos and try again.

tried another stick of ram still no go.

this cpu(duron 1.2 was from another working system).

i didn't clear the cmos. will try that and see what happens.

i think the mobo maybe bad.

my son said that he wasn't getting anything on his monitor when he had it.

i think that may be why he was so quick to change mobo with me.

what do you think.
