ibook dialup

Can anybody give me a quick run down of getting an ibook online with dialup? I need to set it up for a friend later and I have never even looked at one. It's just a standard dialup. Thanks in advance

It is really easy. If you are not using OS X then tell me but here is the procedure for setting it up with OS X.

click the "system preferences" in the dock (the panel down the bottom of the screen, the system preferences icon is white with a blue apple icon on it).

in the window that opens, click the "internet" icon. and a new window shoudl open.

if it is not already selected, in the drop down menu that says "Show" select "internal modem"

click the "ppp" tab, and configure the details, it's fairly self explanatory.

to connect, on the desktop open the hard disk icon, choose "applications" then open "internet connect"

and you're sorted.

In my iBook a little "internet connect" menu is at the top-left of the screen.

If you can't remember then fool around, it's fairly self explanatory.

If it's MacOS 9.22 or another OS then say, and i'll help you out with that too.

I figured it out. It wasn't too differnet from what you described. Thanks for the helping hand. I am a complete MAC newbie
