Two computer problems left
Ok, after going through the hell I went through putting together my first computer I figure that these will HOPEFULLY be the last two problems I face for the moment. Problem number one is that when I turn on my computer it says f1 to continue, del for setup. How do I make it so that my computer just starts right up? Ok my second problem is a little more serious than that. My floppy drive just will not work, any ideas? My friend said to turn around the ide wire and I did but that did nothing. Once again here is my computer stats..

The F1 issue... have you checked the BIOS/CMOS Battery?
Floppy - does the light come on ever/at all? If so, how, when, and how long for?

Keep in mind, the red stripe always goes closest to the power connector on the drive. And there should be a "1" printed on the mobo to let you know that's where pin 1 is. Red stripe goes closest to that as well.

make sure the BIOS is set up for a 1.44mb floppy....the F1 issue may be related to the floppy problem

yes sounds like the floppy cable isn't connected right .like eveilrick said the red wire always goes towards the power plug on your device (floppy ,harddrive,cdr/rw/dvd) . and make sure itis pluged into the motherboard correct . the red side should go to the 1 pin on the motherboard. if the light is always on on the floppy that means the cable is not pluged in correct .

I'll try it out later, with what I have tried so far, the light has always been on or with other tries it is just a dead floppy. I'll work with it again, thanks.
