Kids Enemy Territory Custom Maps

Hey guys, recently I tried playing BF1942, but at best it was becoming "alright" so I switched to going back to Enemy Territory and was wondering if there are any custom maps out there??? Anything about downloading more maps instead of the six or so that are included in the game? Tried looking around and could not find anything, thanks.

Hey. Sorry, but I think we might be waiting a bit for new enemy territory maps(official/custom) to come out according to what I have read around the web and this chat log at gamespy . I am not even sure if all of the official tools and such have been released for custom map development yet.

I think it would be nice if they ported the original RTCW maps into ET! Of course that would never happen though because then no one would buy RTCW.

BTW - ever tried the Wild West mod for RTCW? Yeehaw!

Wild West is a great mod, just need people to play.

Here is a link for lots of wolf mods. Not sure how many are complete. If they are multiplay might want to check if there are servers first.

Hey -

Update -- The map editor for RTCW:ET was recently released by Splash Damage so it won't be long now until some very nice custom maps are released. I have seen two in rotation (sillyctf & rhine) and I will be trying them soon. Stay tuned!!

Oh yeah.. I could do with more maps. Personally I think they made a big mistake by abandoning developement of this game. I think they would have had a commercial success on their hands if they would've kept it up.

(And I never saw anything wrong with the duck)

Enemy Territory was originally coded to be an expansion pack to RTCW. First the single player fell through, then they decided to stop developement and give what they had worked on away for free.

Now don't get me wrong - I love free games - but I really wish they had continued to develop this game. I really like playing it.
