Well, from the looks of it money's no problem so I'd choose the ATI Radeon 9700 for Vid and the Creative Audigy 2 for the sound card, it comes w/ a cool remote and all the ports you need on the front.

I would get an Nforce2 motherboard, either ABIT or ASUS or EPOX.
Or you can wait a couple of weeks and the new KT600 are just around the corner, hopefully, and they'll be faster then the Nf2 even.
For sound if you are going to listen to a lot of music but not play games get a Terratec Aureon 7.1 Space or a M-Audio Revolution. Both these cards are not recommended for games though!!
If you`re going to play games then get the Audigy2, no questions asked.
For video....whats your budget?

Thanks for the input.
Audigy 2 is one of my choice for sound, i have an extended collection of MP3 that i like to listen all the times (900 full albums for now and 7 gig of mixed songs).
I don't really want to spend a lot of money for the video card. Something decent will be fine, no games will be played or rarely and it's mostly to have something reliable and strong enough for what i'm doing with the computer.

Well if you`re going to listen to music then get the Terratec or the Revo! Believe me they sound a lot better than the Audigy2.
Then for Video get a G3ti200 or a g4ti4200. |

Audio - Creative Audigy 1 or 2
Video - ATI Radeon 9700 PRO (If you can afford it) or g4Ti4600 or Ti4800SE

if you get an nforce2 motherboard you might want to hold off on the sound card and try the onboard sound first . the sound on them is pretty nice . and if you don't like it order it after the fact .

Well, for video I would suggest you to go for geforce FX5800 Ultra card which should give you an unprecedented performance. It has the latest technology embedded inside it like DDR2(providing 1000Mz of bandwith), 500Mz clock speed, etc.
And, for sound my choice is Audigy2. It's the best.
And, did I mention the rest of your specs are just great.

well I don`t see why he should spend the extra cash for a Video Card that he will not use to its full potential if he's not going to play games!
Just a thought
