Systems Logitech z560 problem...

Ok here is the problem. The front left jack on the sub where I plug the speaker in doesn't seem to kick in until I turn the volume on the console up all the way. I can't hear any sound coming from this one speaker when it is turned down.. volume has to be all the way up. The other three though... They work fine, I actually can control the volume on these ones on the console. The speakers make a violent pop just before I get the knob all the way up, when that speaker kicks in... Do I have a bad set or can this be fixed? It's not the speaker.. I have tried the other speakers on the same channel and they won't work on it either, so I'm pretty sure it's the jack and not the speakers. It's been like this since the day I opened the box.

I'd call up Logitech. Sounds like there's a problem.

I think the problem is on the amp.. hmmm....

I ordered them from newegg.com back in March. I'm not sure if I could send it back to them. Would I still be able to send it to Logitech? or is it too late?

Actually, I think all of Logitech's speakers have a 2 year warranty. Bingo on the amp, that's what's causing problems. Call them up and tell them your problem. They'll give you an RMA number and (sorry) probably ask you to send back the sub and maybe the control pod. Satts are yours. I still have the subwoofer and 3 satts from my Z-540. The only thing I had to send back was the front right speaker (the one with the dials on it). Boy, those controls were the WORST! The volume knob was hard to use as well as the fader control, and the fader control broke after 3 months. The subwoofer volume was on the back of the sub in a hard-to-reach location. UGH. When I got my PM4.1's I wondered what Logitech was thinking when they designed those. Also, no headphone jack.

Systems

I have this problem also, but I thihk even if I turn the volume all the way up I still cant hear as much sound from my other speaker (I have problem with opposite speaker). I also bought my speakers from newegg. Even with them under warranty we would have to pay to ship the heavy amp and sub back to them. The other thing is to listen to music they still rock without that one speaker, audio from movies sounds weird coming from one side.

this is a huge longshot but do you by any chance have any windows volume controls set so that the fade/balance is all the way to 1 side somehow by accident?

Not likely, unless he has independent controls for both the front and rears. I think it's the amp. Call them up and get an RMA. Beg and maybe they'll pay for shipping, I know Klipsch does if you whine enough. You'll probably only have to send back the control pod.
