WHAT DO I WANT IN A NEW AMD CPU
I am thinking of upgrading my cpu. first I am an AMD fan, second I have a socket A mob, my mob is fairly new, within the last two months. Any suggestions on wich model of amd cpus to look at. I intend on video editing, and photo editing, as well as 3d gaming. My budget is small right now, about 90 bucs.

Well, if you don't already have a fan, just get the fastest retail processor available for 90$.
If you do, then get the fastest OEM for 90$
Looks like a Barton 2500+ for retail and OEM both at Newegg.com...
Or if your board isis an overclocking board, just pick up one of those Newegg 1700+'s, since they seem to be really good overclockers (I've been hearing about 2200 actual mhz from a 1470 mhz chip) and cost only 48$ for the OEM.

You can get a good heatsink (if you don't already have one) at nexfan for $10 plus shipping (flat rate of $7/order). I'd then do a cost/benefit analysis of the various CPUs and analyze what you really need in the line of speed. I opted for the $44 1700+ at NewEgg, as I'm upgrading from a K6-2 350 and don't really need the latest chip. (The way it is, what I'm getting is so much faster than what I'm leaving, it'll be good. ) If you want faster, look up what your mobo can support and then select the chip from NewEgg's list that best meets your budget for the speed you want.
