Hi! new here & need advice please.

I've just bought a 2nd hand mobo, i think it's a heuston, the number on the mobo says:

GA-6WMM7

But everytime i turn the p.c on, i get a siren sound, i've tried different ram, as that's what i thought it was but still no joy, all i have connected is the hard drive, i get a picture but the siren last for a couple of seconds then go's then comes back again,

Any ideas?

Thanx

GA-xxxxx -- probably a Gigabyte motherboard.

Normally a siren means that the motherboard doesn't detect a processor fan running. Make sure that there's a working heatsink and a fan on the CPU, and that it's connected into the motherboard.

Oh yeah! Where are my manners
