personally, id grab the ATI, just because you don't have to download non WHQL certified drivers from Nvidia... im still waiting for mine to fake 32 bit color Nvidia seems[ed] to be willing to cheat in public just to look as good as ATI.
from what i understand, the 5900 Ultra suffers some heat problems because of the DDR II ram onboard. might not be a good choice if your PC is in a warm/hot environment. |
Yes Telexen is correct!
The FX5900 Ultra does NOT HAVE DDRII memory.
Only the FX5800 Ultra did and it also is the one that has the High Heat problem (not to mention the noise also).
The FX5900 Ultra actually is QUIETER than the Ti4600 I had.
It runs sweet.
GeForce FX 5900 Ultra doubles the size of the memory interface to 256 bits, boosting peak memory to 27.2GB/sec; the highest figure in the industry.
e-VGA is the first on the market with the FX5900Ultra
The e-GeForce FX 5900 Ultra card, eVGA has bumped the core clock frequency to 500MHz. Yes, you read that correctly, 500MHz! As a result, the e-GeForce FX 5900 Ultra matches the fill rate of GeForce FX 5800 Ultra, arguably the 5800's biggest highlight. On top of the higher core clock speed, eVGA boosts the memory clock frequency to 900MHz. This feature nets the e-GeForce FX 5900 Ultra an additional 1.6GB/sec of memory bandwidth.
