XP2400, Albatron KX400-8X, PC3200, Please help!

I am not an OCer, but I know someone in here could help me out. I have an Albatron KX400-8X mobo, 3 x 256mb PC2700 DDR, and an AMD XP2400+ w/ stock hsf. If I need to use 166fsb, the lower speed I could use is 166x13 =2158 mhz. I really don’t want to OC it since the cpu goes up to 56C. Any advise.

To elaborate a little, you might geat abetter fan, there are a few good ones out there. Volcano makes a good fan. You might also tidy up the inside of your case to let the air flow a little better. A blowhole along with an extra intake fan would also help a bit.

It's 56C full load. I tried running the Sandra burn in test at 10 cycle, and it's ok. But it failed, if I play game (system locked up).

P.S. I did set the core volt @ 1.675

It probably wants more core voltage. I'd lose the case cover and do some testing. Try to find it's sweet spot and plan some better cooling.

the default setting for an xp2400 is 133x15 try that out .
