Systems New setup , Big problem

Ok , here's my setup...
Asus a7n8x dlx mobo rev. 2.0 ,updated bios 1005, newest chipset drivers
Barton 2500 running stock speed
2 x 256mb corsair pc3200
asus gf4 ti 4200 128mb 8x newest drivers installed
ATI tv wonder VE + newest drivers
TT volcano 9
antec 480
winxp sp1

Now here's my problem. This is a new computer I've just built , everything went together without any problems.I installed all of the drivers that came with my hardware.Had all of my bios settings running default xcept for the cpu fsb wich I had to set to 166 and the memory, I under clocked the memory to 166 or 100% so it would be nsync with the cpu , since I won't be doing any OC'ing for a while.Xp installed easily , no problems. Then I installed 3D Mark 2001se , I wanted to set what I would score cause on my old system I only got 2547 so I knew this one would be alot better. Well I ran it at default settings and scored 11317.
A few hours later I tried to run it again and after the first test ( with the red truck ) the computer rebooted. After the post screen I got an error message saying this..keyboard error or no keyboard present.I couldn't get it to do anything, I restarted and got the same thing.I tried to push DEL to get into BIOS but my keyboard wouldn't work. So I cleared the cmos and restarted and set my bios like it was before, it booted like it should .When windows started it ran scandisk and then went to desktop like nothing happened. I tried to run 3D Mark again and the same thing happened , so it rebooted and I got the same error..keyboard error or no keyboard present.I reset the cmos once again and put the bios settings back to where they're supposed to be. After windows ran scandisk again I installed BF 1942 , during the opening movie it rebooted just like it did with 3D Mark. Same error message...keyboard error or no keyboard present. So I done everything that I stated above all again. I downloaded the newest graphics drivers , motherboard drivers, I installed them and same thing happened. So once again I cleared cmos , set bios , and downloaded the newest bios 1005. I flashed it and then rebooted and when I got to windows I tried BF 1942 again , same problem. So I done the deed one more time and here I am now. I'm typing on it . I can surf the net , watch tv , run winamp and there's no problems . But as soon as I start a game or 3D mark it reboots. I'm stumped, anybody got any helpful advice? Thnx

Have you tried to update Direct X, not sure if it will give you that kind of problem, but it's worth a try.Specially if it only happens playing games.

whats the power supply in this system ? is it dual fan . look on the side and post the ratings for all the voltages . sounds to me like the power supply is underpowered and when the video cards goes into 3d it overloads the system and the system reboots . hmm i see you have an antec 480 . is it new or old ? also go into the bios and change the agp to 4x instead of 8 and disable fast write for agp and try it .

The Antec 480 is about 6 months old. I borrowed it from a friend to use instead of the original PSU that came with my case, wich was a raidmax 350. I thought it might be a problem with the antec PSU so I switched it back to the original raidmax 350. Everything works fine now.I thought that I might be underpowered using the raidmax but it seems to do fine, although before long I'm gonna buy a better PSU of my own. It's strange though, I would have thought that there would be a problem with the lower rated PSU but instead it was the better one that gave me problems. I guess these cheapo PSU's aren't that bad after all. Yes the Antec 480 had two fans , sorry I can't post the ratings cause I gave it back . But here are the ratings for the one I'm using now.....

Raidmax 350
+3.3V-16A
+5V-25A
+12V-14A
It only has 1 fan but I noticed that it has enough room inside for another one on the bottm. So I guess I'll order a new 80mm from newegg and put it in there. But would a second fan in the PSU be neccessary if i've put in a blowhole? I put the blowhole in 'cause it's really warm here where I live and I wanted to make sure my rig stays cool. So far i'm using 2 x 80mm in the front , 2 x 80mm in the side , 1 x 60mm in the back , 1 x 80mm on the blowhole. All of the fans xcept for the 60mm on the back are rated for 45cfm each. But anyways I think my problem is fixed since I can now run 3D Mark 2001SE or any game without it restarting. Thanks for the replies and the help.

FSB - DDR match

A7n8x non-luxe (2.0 / Bios 1005)
Kingston 256DDR 2700
XP 2000+
Geforce2 64mb

My mobo only runs stable at DDR133-FSB133, the rig crashes all the time with DDR at 166. Make sure your DDR is 133 clocked.

My Bios settings - 133/4/2/2/2 (The "Performance" setup)

Try to reset your BIOS first via the CMOS jumper, just to make sure you get all the defaults back.

Check your WinXP for IRQ conflicts too, had lots in mine, now its "only" the Lan Card/PCI manager sharing 11.

Although I disabled all serials, parallel and even USB, the IRQ7 is nowhere to be seen, does anyone know how to make use of it? My WinXP is already at StandardPC, somebody should shoot Gates for that awful ACPI...

If you manage to run this baby with DDR166 let me know your settings please.

Try increasing core and ram voltages.
