Norton Ghost Errors

I just did a fresh install of windows XP pro, installed all my drivers, etc. I was hoping it would be a time saver to just make a ghost image so that i didnt have to go through all the installation process again.

So i went into Norton Ghost and went to Backup, and selected the option to backup to a CD/DVD. It rebooted the computer and loaded the DOS ghost interface. It proceeded to burn the CDs, ended up filling 2. Then I decided to check the integrity of the discs and it got halfway through the first disc and failed.

Im assuming its probably a burn error, b/c it appeared to be burning at max speed (48x) during the backup process.

Is there any way to control the burn speed such that i could burn at something like 12x to ensure that there were no errors?

I'm using Norton System Works 2003

A few questions:

First question
-Is your burner listed in the following list of compatible drives?

Second question
-If you save the image to a seperate partition and then burn it, does the integrity check fail on those CDs?

Third question
Have you gone through this How to troubleshoot problems writing to CD-R and CD-RW drives document?
