last night i assembled a new rig that will be used as an mp3 rig/ [FaD] cow. well im a moron i didnt make sure that the cpu cooler was properly seated on the cpu and i fried the dang thing. Who's a moron? Me!!!!

I can't point and laugh at you cause I've done the same with my k6-2 350 cpu.

Nah....consider it a learning experience. What I do, after installing the heatshink, is rock it slightly back and forth, left and right. I've never had an issue with seating using this, as, once the clip is installed, its almost like twisting a screw a little tighter.
