Defrag for Win2k?

i need a better defragmenting program for Win2k because that normal defragmenting program is damn bad i had a total red Hard disk (everything was fragmented) then i ran it four times and just two or three places are blue now, sucks a bit

so anyone has got a good defrag program??

Norton SpeedDisk (as part of SystemWorks) should work for WIN2k. I loved it for WIN9x.

Yes it does:

Requirements

The Home Edition: Diskeeper 7.0 Home Edition runs on any single computer that is running Windows XP / 2000 Workstation / NT 4.0 Workstation and Windows 95 / 98 / Me. The Home Edition is the same powerful software as our Professional versions except it cannot be run over a network.

I recently tried Defragmenter Pro on WinXP Baaaaaaaaaad move. Really messed up my system.

You might want to try a Repair Trick and load Win2K over top of itself.

Have you tried defragging in Safe Mode?

I use Norton Speed Disk in Normal Mode, btu I disable antivirus and network connection and other services that I can.

Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with XP Defragger. Be sure you have enough disk space. If you don't have enough disk space for the defragger to move data temporarely to a different area, you will never be able to defrag %100. Never caused me any grief. It's the stripped version of Executive Software's Diskeeper. I use the retail version which defrags much faster than the XP stripped version and has many useful features..
