Bass Junkies Look here!

Was browsing thru Klipsch's website (looking for deals like the 2.1s) and I saw this...

Wall of Subwoofers

While its not a new concept, the fact that you can use it on your computer system makes it all the more fun!

I'd never buy multiple SWS's. They're a waste if you buy more than one. Also, they've gone up from 150 to 200, so if you're going to get one, go to best buy. If you want to stack them, that's your choice, but why not go to Circuit City and get an Entra 2 for 50 bucks less than 2 PM-SWS's? It'll get much louder and hit much lower and cleaner.

That doesn't look like something I would get. It doesn't even have much wattage.

Actually, it's louder than the PM4.1 sub. I have the PM4.1 sub and the thing is freaking insane in my small room at least...pretty damn loud.

Nice! 12 15" woofers in parallel arrays of 3. Up to 103 db. That is just amazing. Probably uses a TON of power tho.

Actually, these arrays tend to be quite efficient.

That said, the folks I've met that go with infinite baffle set-ups tend to make certain they don't run short on power...

If I could, I'd rebuild that thing. I'd make it so that it would be mounted to the ceiling and the exit would be at the bottom. That way you get the best dispersal of sound.

Deep bass is non-directional and fills the room no matter where you put the sub. Although you can get better bass management by positioning around a subwoofer in a room to make it sound less boomy and more tight or vice-versa. IMO, I don't see the benefit of having it in the ceiling, but it all depends on the shape and design of the room.
