Need Advice on NEW board..

background

.. bought a syntax sv400... nice.. it works.. chopped my barton 2500 to 2122 ... not good enough

im looking for a MB that will have the Nvidiea<SP> chipset.. let you set the clock speed ABOVE 200mhz (in bios) and will ahve 8x AGP .. and a nice hood over the CPU to dispurse of heat......




i saw one surfing one nite, but i can recall it...

2500xp, 4200 128mb, 512 3200, syntax sv400, 500psu, alum calixio <SP> case ..

I think some of the newest boards will let you up the bus speed over 200mhz...but you need to understand it's not as simple as just setting it there...most 333mhz FSB CPUs will NOT boot or even post at over 200mhz with a vcore of even 1.85v

well.. i upt the clock to 199 (highest this board will do) and notched it at 2.3v and it runs good @ around 47c .... pcMark score @ 6536 .......

if you hvae some names to toss out it would help a bit..

btw.. im a bit sauced.. so sorry for any spelling errs.

2.3volt ?? on the cpu voltage ???? wow thats high and you are air cooling ????

instead of raising the fsb how about raising the multiplier ? then you can still use that board ,.

You have to modify the board to get a vcore of 2.3v

im assuming yes.. but their page shows no 2500 ...
