Replacing VGA Connector?

We have this new 19" monitor sitting around. It's barely used, but ís not usable atm because the computer it belonged to was stolen, and the thieves cut off every cable to the computer, and thus destroyed the monitor (and have no use of the $600 M-Audio Delta 66 card that was in the computer, since they didn't take the break-out box. Talk about stupid...)

So does anyone know anything about replacing the vga connector on the cord from the monitor? Are there any websites with schematics for this?

If the cord is still long enough you can solder on a new HD15 connector. It's a little tricky working with the dense pins, but still doable.
