i have an amd machine....
athlon xp 1800+
asus a7v266-c
apacer 256mb pc 2100 ram
and the usual stuff....
i have plans on upgrading my system and i want to upgrade my memory first.
would pc2700 ram and pc3200 ram run on my current system?

and from the looks of it i'd say yes ddr is backwards compatable for slower speeds.

i wont be using them at once. i plan to remove my old memory and stick the new ones in.

It'll run stable. Newer ram is backwords compatible, so it will just underclock it to pc2100 speeds.

I've mixed ram many times w/ no problems. You just have to try it to find out if it works. You'll probably just be limited to the speed of the slower RAM.
