Agreed... stay MILES away from Internet Exploder!!!

Quote:
Method of Infection: ActiveX drive-by download on affiliate pages, including misleading download links (eg. 'megamovieblaster') and pop-ups. Also installed silently by the browser hijacker, ISTBar*.
Quote:
Security Issues: RapidBlaster can download and execute arbitrary unsigned code pointed to by its controlling servers. It is known to install diallers such as DialerOffline. RapidBlaster/AInst, if not removed, can also allow any web page to silently reinstall RapidBlaster.
Basically it 0wns you and thank you for Using Internet Explorer!

Use ANY Web browser but for gods sake stay away from IE!! Its bad news

... and yes Avant Browser and Crazy browser will HAPPILY download this ActiveX control "For your benefit" because its just a pretty IE version

Well, my daughter has her computer really infected with this crap and I can't seem to get rid of it! I keep running and updating Ad-Aware but it keeps coming back! How can I get rid of it once and for all? Highly pissed!

use spybot search and destroy as well as adaware and if that doesn't help then you can always format reinstall and start fresh and clean

Hmm. I spend the better part of every day online and rarely have problems with IE. If you set it up properly and use Spybot, there's no problems. I've used Mozilla and Opera, but I keep coming back to IE. I guess I'm just accustomed to its behavior.

You can set Spybot to block downloading of harmful files. Works fine for me.
