Finance Computer Will Not Boot

I Received A Shuttle SS40G System That I Purchased Off Of eBay.

I Plugged Everything In And Went To Test It: NOTHING

Acts Like It is Not Getting Any Power.
All The Connections Look Correct. I Do Not See Anything Obviously Wrong With It.

The Seller Stated That He Tested It Right Before He Shipped It And Everything Was Good.
It Went Through USPS.

Could The Board Have Cracked?
It was Shipped In It's Original Box With The Foam Supports.....

Any Ideas?

Also, I Bought 2 Others, They Should Be Arriving Within The Next Few Days. I Was Thinking About Using A "Known Good" PSU From One Of Them To Test The System. Is There Anything That I Should Do While I Am Waiting For The Others To Arrive?

Try one from another system (you could use just a regular ATX power supply to test it, I think) ... if it doens't work after that go to the seller and/or eBay about it...just because he said it was good before he shipped it doesn't mean it was

I Believe The Guy.
His Feedback Is Great.

PLUS, He Seems More Worried About The Issue Than I Am.

It Would Not Be The First PC I Received That The USPS Abused While Shipping. (That's Why I Always Insist On Insurance.)

I just saw what your RIG looked like; don't know what to say but it looks like you got taken for a ride. If every thing is connected correctly it should work, and if it had any internal damage the cube would show some damage as well. Check the inside to see if it has the RAM and CPU intact.

Sorry I couldn't help

Sorry, I'm Not Following, To What Are You Refering That You Saw?

The Outside Of The Cube Is Perfect, That's The Point, Nothing Looks Out Of Place. There Are No Apparent Signs Of Damage. That Is Why This Is So Perplexing.......
It Would Seem That The Unit Should Power Up Without Issue, But It Does Not For Some Unknown Reason.

These Are My First Shuttles, So I Was Wondering If There Were Any Known Issues Involving These Motherboards (Like Poor Mounts Or Workmanship). I Never Had Any Problems Like This With My Abit Boards.

Ok let me explain, you were wondering if the unit may have gotten damage during the shipment. With those Shuttles you should be able to carefully stand on the cube without damaging the inside or the cube. Well if the unit was ship in its original packaging with no damage to the outside, then it may have just been damage before it was shipped. Hint: The guy rip you off big time.

Well, I Received The Other Shuttle.

Turns Out It Was Just A Bad PSU.

Now, I Also Received A Tower And PSU That I Ordered From CrazyPC. The PSU Arrived "Bad" Also......

If The USPS Was "X-Ray"ing or Otherwise Radiating The Packages, To An Extent That Damaged Solid State Devices, Would Not The Mainboard Have Been Damaged As Well?

What Are The Odds That 2 PSUs In 2 Different Packages From 2 Different Locations Would Both Arrived Bad? The 3rd PSU (The 2nd Shuttle) Was Fine...

1st Was From GA
2nd Was From PA (?)
3rd Was From FL

The Only Thing In Common Was That They All Went Through New York City USPS.

Just Bad Luck?

I Do Not Just Buy From Anyone, I Research Those I Purchase From Before I Buy. The Guy Is On The Up And Up. Who Would Sell Something With A Bad PSU? You Would Know Instantly After It Arrived That Something Was Wrong? A Replacement PSU Is Only $40......

If the seller is so concerned about it then why the heck would he have used USPS?

---edit-----

k, understood.

Just a few of those, so rediculously obvious you might overlook it checls that i can think of

1) switch on the PSU is turned on?
2) Selector on PSU is says 110V instead of 220V?
3) Motherboard is not directly touching the case (aka isnt grounded)

Im assuming that when you press the poewr button you dont hear anything at all?

You said you checked all the connectors so Im assuming the Power button and reset buttons are plugged into the right spots on the mobo.

Do you have a multimeter handy? If so you could try testing to see if the PSU is infact produciing any power.

That's Was By My Request.

I Am US Military Stationed In Iceland. We Are Only Able To Receive Packages Through USPS To Our FPO AE Addresses.

Most People Do Not Understand That UPS And FedEx Are Not Available To Us Overseas. We Do Not Have Street Addresses, Just Box Numbers.

You Do Not Know How Many Companies Refuse To Ship USPS. AND When They Do There's Usually A $10-$20 "Handling" Fee. Image Having To Call And Ask If They Will Send To You (Because USPS Is Not An Option On Most Websites) And Then Adding $20 To The Price Of What You Purchase.

With eBay, Most Of The People Are Willing To Send To Us As Long As We Pay The Postage.
