Data Corruption on K7S7AG !?!?
I just got this system up and running. First of all I could not load the OS (Win XP, an early version). In the middle of install (more than once) I got a 'Fatal Error' message. With advice I got from another forum, I slowed the system down by removing UMDA protocols from the HD in the BIOS, I also slowed the FSB down (synchronously from 166/166 to 133/133) and finally got the OS up and running. After I installed all the drivers, and basically got the system configured, I then loaded the software for my SB-Audigy at stock speed ATA 133, with the CPU running at full blast (Athlon XP 2600+ w/333FSB) just after that install, my system took another dive from data corruption errors, and almost didn't recover.
Is anyone else having problems with ATA 133 transfer speeds w/possilbe data corruption, especailly when transfering data between IDE devices w/ECS K7S7A2 or K7S7AG?
