New Motherboard

Im in search of a motherboard, but I don't know what type to get. I have an intel P4 2.0ghz proccessor and was wondering if I get an intel board with ddr ram will my proccessor fit on that board? Or are there special boards for certain Gig proccessors? Right now I have an AX4BS motherboard and it has SDram on it killing my performance, so in hopes of upgrading my board to rambus or DDR.

Thanks

Your best route is to cross-reference your CPU with the certified MB list on the Mfg's website...this will tell you exactly which MB's are right for your chip...the newest MB's won't do you any good because your chip doesn't support the newest performance tweaks...you'd have to buy a new chip for that.
