I didn't find any useful answer in the above post....
But I found out what causes the error occuring on my system:
Its definitely the RDRAM. Although I tested the memory with a testprogram and that program, QAPlus, didn't found any problems, I made following steps:
I tested the stability of my system with different clocks of the RDRAM.
If I run the RDRAM on 533 MHz and the TURBO MODE is enabled in the BIOS, each game crashes after 15 - 20 min of use.
If this TURBO MODE is disabled and RDRAM runs on 533 MHz, I can play upto 2 - 3 hours before the game crashes... sometimes the game crashes after 10 min but that is random.
BUT if I change the RAM clock multiplier to x3 and RDRAM runs on 400 MHz without the TURBO MODE, the system is much much more stable !!! I mean, within 3 days I had only ONE crash !
Now my question: Do you all think, I have a defective RDRAM chip or maybe the MOBO is my problem ? I am sure, the RDRAM is a right PC4200, 512 MB and 32 bit chip manufanctered by SAMSUNG...
THANX for your time you spend in reading and undestanding my threads !
